Air cargo supervisors direct ground crews in the loading and staging of aircraft cargo or baggage. They also distribute cargo in such a manner that space use is maximized. Finally, air cargo supervisors calculate load weights for different aircraft compartments, using charts and computers.

Every day, air cargo supervisors are expected to be able to lift, push and move large and heavy objects. They need to evaluate problems as they arise. It is also important that they articulate ideas and problems.
