They also talk with supervisory personnel and layout professionals to consider and resolve matters such as work procedures and construction problems. Equally important, construction foremen have to design and implement quality control programs. They are often called upon to interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff and clients, representing the owner or developer. They are expected to take actions to deal with the results of delays or emergencies at construction site. Finally, construction foremen ready contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
