Sales managers formulate and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to evolve and control sales and service programs. They also decide on price schedules and discount rates. They are often called upon to monitor customer preferences to establish focus of sales efforts. They are expected to resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
