Finally, web developers layout and implement web site security measures such as firewalls or message encryption.

It is important for web developers to design system interaction or sequence diagrams. They are often called upon to develop searchable indices for web page content. Somewhat less frequently, web developers are also expected to decide on programming languages or applications.
