They are often called upon to keep archives of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers. They are expected to record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as needed. Finally, front desk managers clean and maintain lobby and common areas.

Every day, front desk managers are expected to be able to articulate ideas and problems. They need to listen to and understand others in meetings.
