Freelance, Consulting, and Contract Jobs
Most freelance website are for-profit organization that are usually paid by the organization offering the matching services, the person or business looking to hire a freelance contractor, or the consultant. However, on the rare occassion you may come accross matching services are offered available free of charge. When reviewing freelance websites make certain you know which party is responsible for payment and how much each service will cost before you sign up.

Temp Jobs
Most of the temp website you’ll find on the Internet belong to actual employment agencies not to middle-market affiliates. Employees are hired by the temp agency who then resells the employees services to another company. The temp employee is paid by the temp agency, not by the company for which he or she is providing services. Oftentimes, the company for whom the temp employee is working will offer a permanent job to the temp worker. However should the temp decide to take the job, the employer may be required to pay an additional fee in order to comply with various terms and conditions set in place by the agency. Although hiring a temp worker may raise the cost of hire, it give both the temp worker and employer a great opportunity to see if there is a good “fit”.
