Occupation Description

Forest and Conservation Technicians compile data pertaining to content, condition, size, and other characteristics of forest tracts. They train and lead forest workers in forest propagation, fire prevention and suppression. They may assist conservation scientists in managing and protecting wildlife habitats, and help provide technical assistance for the conservation of water, soil, and related natural resources.
